The Eastern Trail Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization founded in 1999 that develops, maintains, and promotes the Eastern Trail, a multi-use greenway stretching from South Portland to the Maine-New Hampshire border near Portsmouth. More than 20 miles of off-road trail are currently open between South Portland and Kennebunk. The organization hosts events including the annual Maine Lighthouse Ride and welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The ETA works with the Eastern Trail Management District to expand trail access for walkers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts.
